Transcript of Being a Course Rep

Being a Course Rep
A Course Rep is a volunteer who is elected by students on their course to champion their views and ideas to the University.
They work in partnership with the University, the Students' Unions and students to enhance the student experience.
areas of their education are
the areas for
the new ideas they want to
This means that Reps find out what:
Course Reps ask the students on their course what’s
about their experiences.
Course Reps champion the ideas of students at meetings and work with the University to improve their experience and develop new initiatives.
Course Reps work closely with staff and students in their departments and are a key part of the Course Management team.
They will gain a wide range of transferable skills and enhance the expertise they already have.
Rep work is also recognised by the HEAR and the UoB Graduate Edge Award, which adds sparkle to their CVs.
Beds SU is here to develop your skills and have committed staff available to support and train you throughout the year.
Course Reps are elected at the beginning of the first term of the new academic year.
Announcements about the elections will be made by your lecturers, so listen out.
