Hermann Rorschach Biography Hermann Rorschach born November 8, 1884 - April 1, 1922, was a Swiss Freudian Phychiatrist and Psychoanalyst who was known for developing The Projective Test or (Personality Test) which later became the method known as the Rorschach Inkblot Test.

Inkblot Test The method consist of a tester and a subject that typically sit next to each other, with the tester slightly behind the subject, to give the subject a relaxed controlled enviroment. The test starts with 10 cards, one Inkblot per card, 5 of the inkblots are printed black and white, 2 are black and red, and 3 are multicolored on a white background. Comic Inspiration The name Rorschach is also seen in the DC comics miniseries Watchmen as a fictional superhero Rorschach was created with a morphining Inkblot mask that he consideres his true face.
