The Betrayal

The Passover

The Denial

"This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance
of Me." "Having received the piece of bread, Judas went out immediately. And it was night." "One of you will betray Me." "And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives." Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you that today, even this night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times." Then Jesus said to them, "All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night." New Meaning for the Passover "This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you."
"I go to prepare a place for you." "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." "I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours." The Last Supper "I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you." "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever, the Spirit of truth." Next Wednesday

"The Hour and Power of Darkness" "When I see the blood, I will pass over you."
The Passover Lamb Peter answered and said to Him, "Even if all are made to stumble because of You, I will never be made to stumble." "If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you."
"If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you."
(John 15:19) "But all these things they will do to you for My name's sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me."
(John 15:21) "And the Lord said, 'Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.
But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.'" And they were exceedingly sorrowful, and each of them began to say to Him, "Lord, is it I?" (Matthew 26:22)
Then Judas, who was betraying Him, answered and said, "Rabbi, is it I?" He said to him, "You have said it."
(Matthew 26:25) He answered and said, "He who dipped his hand with Me in the dish will betray Me.
(Matthew 26:23)
The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born."
(Matthew 26:24)
In the midst of Jesus' most difficult hours, He prepared His closest friends for the trials they were about to face. "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me."
(John 14:1) Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?"
(John 14:5) Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
(John 14:6) But Peter said to Him, "Lord, I am ready to go with You, both to prison and to death."
"He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you." "He will guide you into all truth ... He will tell you things to come ... He will testify of Me."
