Enrollment System
Introduction
The system design project, Enrollment System that will provide the needed and storing information in a faster, more convenient way by storing file of the student enrollees in a computer system that will lessen the effort of faculty staff in storing files of each student every now and then. This will also serve as information for students especially for the freshmen and transferee.
In this system, stored information can be viewed in just a second without worrying that a single file is lost. The idea behind a enrollment system is not a new concept. As student enrollees increase every year, enrollment procedure become harder to deal. This will only serve to increase the problem facing enrollment that provides more easy way in enrolling.

This will also be a big help to all the enrollment staff especially under the computer department because they are the one who are entitled to touch and read the information from here. It will help our institution to have another system that will upgrade the enrollment processes so as to meet the quality that our institutions are trying to meet.
Today, the use of technology has been an effective tool on improving such kind of enrollment system. In this study, the use of Visual Basic 6.0 and Access database will help to improve the efficiency of the enrollment in the President Diosdado Macapagal High School (PDMHS).

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
The enrollment system we have proposed and proposing is for the school named “President Diosdado Macapagal High School (PDMHS)” which was a new school in taguig but then, the enrollment system on the said school is still in manual. And we have learned from addressing some surveys and random interviews around the school premises that, the manual enrollment system was too slow and too difficult for the school to manage at the reason of lacking in faculty members who are knowledgeable enough on handling and managing such large manual files, records and folders.
EXISTING SYSTEM FLOW CHART
THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK
The procedure in managing and organizing a good enrollment system in other words a well-structured enrollment system would give the organization a proper control of their transactions among the upcoming and enrolling students.
This study will be using the input-process-output diagram to come up with an enhanced enrollment system for President Diosdado Macapagal High School (PDMHS).

INPUT. The required information about the enrollee in the system as provided based in the information that the school basically needed and this information is influenced by the rules and regulations of the school.
PROCESS. After gathering the inputs or data of the enrollees to the system, it will be recorded in the main database system which is the one who holds, keep and gather information then to be dispersed to the different year levels as to be organized automatically.
OUTPUT. The output will be the result of careful analysis and allocation of information about the enrollees. The output can be used now for future uses easily to access and manage.
CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
•Cannot differentiate transferee from old student
•Old student still input their full information in the enrollment form.
•Uncontrolled population of students in one section
•Too much work to be done most of the time in paper works.
•Inconvenient process in gathering information
•Uncontrolled misspelled data / information.
•Cannot produce a unique Student ID for every student.

SCOPE
The proposed enrollment system covered the major processes in Pres. Diosdado Macapagal High school (PDMHS) namely:
• Successfully can manage old students and transferees.
• Can produce automatically a unique Student ID for every student.
• Easy to manage or user friendly.
• Can provide a fast procedure of processing data in other words Fast enrolling process.
• Well organized in gathering information from the enrollee.

LIMITATION
•It can only operate high school enrollment purposes.
•It can’t manage subjects per year level.
•It can’t show the schedule of the subject per year level.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
The computers provide convenience to its user through the easier and faster way of transactions. Population of students in almost all-educational institution is rapidly increasing so great demand in teaching force is also becoming higher. Fortunately, today’s generation of high technology machine and tools can substitute these workers.
This proposed “Computerized Enrollment System” will provide a high technology way of retrieving and managing student’s data.
The study will be great help to the following:

Students. The students can easily access and retrieve information regarding with the process of enrollment the effort and time and help to minimize the effort and time they exert.
PDMHS. It provides easy and fast approach in registration and enrollment.

DEFINITION OF TERMS
Client. Does not share any of its resources that request a server’s content or service function.

Computer. Machine capable of the following the instruction to alter data, programmable electronic device that can perform calculations and processing information.

Database. Is a container to store your tables in.
Enrollment. It is a process in which a student is being admitted to the institution. This include the listing of information or data about the student and subject he/she will be enrolled.

Information. Knowledge given or received of some fact or circumstances.
Record. It is the collection of related field with information that usually pertains to the only one subject.


System. It is a group of interrelated components working together toward a common goal by accepting input in a organized transformation process.
User-friendly. A program easy to use even though an individual is not knowledgeable about the system.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF THE SCHOOL
President Diosdado Macapagal High School(PDMHS)is presently an annex school of Signal Village National High School which is autonomous in nature and near to be independent from its mother school. It has approximately 2,300 students, 17 registered teacher, 40 contractual teacher, 3 utility personnel and 7 security guards.

The said school is a general public high school with a school id no 320606 under the school division of Taguig City and Pateros of the department of education. It is almost reliant to the kindness and support of the local government of Taguig City for its continued survival. This school was conceived and founded by former congressman and now Senator Alan Peter S. Cayetano through his legislative initiative.
As of present, the Taguig local government under the excellent administration of Mayor Lani Cayetano has played a major role in uplifting the school and helping it in almost numerous aspects to transform our school to be the best among all pubic general High School in Taguig City. Mayor Lani Cayetano is very supportive to all programs and projects of the school

PDMHS offers general high school education and alternative learning system modes of education of students residing in GHQ Village, Barangay Katuparan, Signal Village Western Bicutan and other nearby Barangays in Taguig City.
