Sail by Awolnation
Sail!

This is how I show my love
I made it in my mind because
I blame it on my A.D.D. baby

This is how an angel dies
I blame it on my own sick pride
Blame it on my A.D.D. baby

Maybe I should cry for help
Maybe I should kill myself (myself)
Blame it on my A.D.D. baby

Maybe I'm a different breed
Maybe I'm not listening
So blame it on my A.D.D. baby

AWOLNATION
The name Awolnation is derived from Aaron Bruno's high school nickname. In an interview with Kristin Houser of the LA Music Blog, he stated that he "would leave without saying goodbye because it was just easier, so that's where the name Awol [slang from the military acronym for "Absent With Out Leave came from."]
Aaron Bruno – vocals, rhythm guitar
Drew Stewart – lead guitar, backing vocals
Kenny Carkeet – keyboards, backing vocals, rhythm guitar
David Amezcua – bass guitar, backing vocals
Isaac Carpenter – drums

In Sail, Aaron uses Anaphora and Repetition is used to show the confusion.
The writer is trying to show his confusion and anxiety through the anaphora.
Repeating "Maybe" lets the listener feel that maybe its not me, maybe its someone else.
Then the listener is reminded of his/her problems and if offered reassurance that it is not their problem
Aaron Bruno was diagnosed with ADD at the age of 15. This made him different from others. He was different from others and confused as to why he was different .
Those problems usually confuse people through many issues. The writer decides to prevent this and blames it on something he can't control, his pride. He wants the ones who claim he has the problem should sail away, or leave his life, while he just simply sails away and leaves his problems behind him. He concludes by stating that he wants his loved one, those he trusts to join him on a new journey, a new life.
Aaron later learned to grow from his disease and embrace it. This made him a better person. He learned to see it as a gift from God.
