Who was Adolf Hitlers wife?
Early Life
Eva Braun was born on February 12, 1912 in Munich, Germany
She later met Hitler at the photography shop in 1929
Suicide Attempts
In August 1932 Eva shot herself in the neck
She and Hitler have 2 residences :
They got married on April 29th, 1945
Death/ Suicide
They both committed suicide on April 30, 1945 in a underground bunker at the New Reich Chancellery in Berlin, Germany
She was the middle child of three daughters in a middle class family
She was a typical teen had interests in clothes, make up and boys
Enjoyed outside activities, and wasn't interested in her studies
She was educated at a lyceum
She attended business school for a year at a convent and received average grades
After quitting, she later started to work at a photography shop
This shop was owned by Heinrich Hoffman, who was Hitler's personal photographer
She was a bookkeeper and assistant to the owner
She said she fell in love with him as soon as he walked through the door
She was 17 and he was 40 when they met
They officially started in dating in 1931 after Hitler's mistress committed suicide
In May 1935 she overdosed on sleeping pills
She suffered emotionally during the relationship
A apartment in Berlin called New Reich Chancellery
A Berghot chalet in the Alps, near Berchtesgaden, Germany but it was destroyed by government in 1952 and severely damaged by aerial bombs in 1945
It was held at Hitler's private sitting room at their apartment
She wore a black silk dress
Married by a low ranking, Nazi official, Walter Wagner
Register was signed by Joesph Goebbels and Martin Bormann
Celebrated their wedding by having a breakfast with champagne
According to Hitler's orders, soon after their deaths, their bodies were burned in a shallow trench in the garden of the Reich Chancellery
Hitler was 56 and Eva was 33 when they died
