Biography
Her real name was Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu.She was born on 1910 in Skopje , Macedonia. She was indian nationalized and a devoted catholic .When she was 18 she joined a congregation in Ireland to start her journey in helping the needy.
In 1950 ,she founded the Congregation of the Missionaries of Charity , which helped millions of people who suffered from poverty and leprosy. She was also known for her beliefs against abortion and euthanasia , which is the practice of intentionally ending a life in order to relieve pain and suffering. In 1979 she received the Nobel Peace Prize for her achievements. She died on September 5 , 1997 due to heart attack. Later on in 2003 she was beatified by the Pope John Paul II.

Contributions
She 's not only known for her considerable attention throughout the world. She also received a number of awards including a Peace Prize from the Pope John XXII in 1971, the Nehru Prize for her promotion of international peace and understanding in 1972, and the Balzan Prize for promoting peace and brotherhood among the nation in 1979. But the most important award has to be the Nobel Prize for work undertaken in the struggle to overcome poverty and distress, but she decided that fund had to be given to the poor in Calcutta ($6,000).

Mother Teresa when she went to Ireland to start her life as a devoted nun.
She founded the Missionaries of Charity , which still helps people and it is active in 133 countries.They run hospices and homes for people with HIV/AIDS, leprosy and tuberculosis; soup kitchens; dispensaries and mobile clinics; children's and family counseling programs; orphanages; and schools.
She helped people worldwide. She also founded the Missionaries of Charity Brothers. She has also taught millions of people how to live a selfless life by devoting yourself to faith
