The Future in 30 Years By: Holly Thompson and Kathryn Creehan Here is a graph of what the world's population growth will be like. Here is a video that shows why becoming green is important to the world and you. How Does This Prove Our Point? 50 years into the future the estimated population is going to be 10 billion people. According to this graph the population the world will grow by 4 billion people from 2000 and 2050 (which is about half the world's population now). Here is a photo that explains the economic cycle. What Do We Think?? First we had to actually think of what the world is like today and then think how will it improve in the next 30 years. Technology will improve Population will grow Economy will get better More people will go green Population Increasing Why Did We Pick This? We picked population growth because the population is growing larger and larger. This has a big affect on what the world will be like since if we become overpopulated, our resources will become strained. More people will choose to go green Why Did We Pick This? We choose an increase in people going green because we now are understanding how much we are hurting Earth. To save Earth, we have to start going green, and that is what is going to happen in the future. Economy will be better Why Did We Pick This? The economy is going to get better because it goes in cycles. It goes from the highs to the lows and back again. Why Did We Pick This? Over the years technology has gotten better and better (Walkman, CD player, iPod, iPad) and it's going to become even more advanced. Technology will improve (a lot) As you just saw, phone technology has changed a lot in the last 30 years. 30 years from now, cell phones could be the size of an ear bud and completely voice activated. Mobile Devices 30 years In short, fossil fuels damage the environment and that will cost us dearly. If we don't fix it now, it will affect our health and our economy. Bibliography www.youtube.com
