Transcript of Horse

This is when the horse is a baby. It is called a foal. A baby horse is only called a foal if it is a boy. If it is a girl, then it is called a filly. During the first 12 months, the horse has long legs compared to its body. When the foal/filly is 4 months old, it will stop drinking milk from its dam (mother). After the filly/foal stops drinking milk from its dam, it is considered a horse. When the horse is 1 year old, it is called a Yearling.
After that, the horse goes through its Middle years. By this time the horse is about 5~10 years old. The horse is now fully grown. Then the horse goes through a stage called the "Late years". That is the horse's life cycle. The Life Cycle of a Horse Whan a horse is born, it has no teeth. At the age of 5~6 years, it replaces its milk teeth with permanent teeth. When the horse is born, it is about the same size as a baby. By: Joy Kondo If it is a girl, it is called a filly, and if it is a boy, it is called a foal.
