Today
is your
birthday.......
All of the people
that love you

wanna say a
few words......

Dearest Naomi,

Happy birthday!!! Can you believe we've known each other for almost 6 years now, since the beginning of freshman year?? As one of my oldest friends, I'm so glad we got to grow closer together in sisterhood post-grad, and even though I'm now across the country, I know that we have one of those friendships that can always just pick up where we left off. I'm so excited for you and your next big step in life, and I can't wait to hear all about the amazing things that God is continuing to do in your life! Happy 24th birthday, and welcome to your mid-twenties! I pray that you will be convicted and challenged in even greater ways this next year, and I'm so thankful to have you in my life.

Love,
Jenn

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NAY! Is that your head plastered on Pyun's body? Yes. Did I make this in powerpoint because I don't have photoshop? Yes. Would I do this again because you're awesome and you'd do the same for me? Of course. Hope you have a great one this year Nay and next time we need to go to Martha's Vineyard altogether!

-Kyle

"Happy Birthday Nay! You've been such a blessing in my life in ways you don't even know. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent with us at church so diligently almost every Sunday. If it wasn't for your beautiful voice, I highly doubt Ken would've stayed at church, hahaha. You've also proven yourself to be a very sweet and caring sister. And I appreciate you and the conversations we have so much whether it's just in passing or at a bar or over lunch. Thank you for being such a bright and wonderful person. We love you!!! Have an amazing birthday!!!"

-Angelia

Nay,
Happy 24th birthday!! You are one of the first friends I made when I came to Cornerstone two years ago, and I'm so thankful to have you as a good friend and a sister in Christ. We may have our political differences, haha, but it's been such a blessing to be centered in Christ through community especially through our Wednesday Brighton CG. I'm praying that God will equip and use you effectively and powerfully wherever your next chapter of life takes place. Happy birthday again and see you around!
-Danny Kim

Happy Birthday, Naomi! Not only are you special for your character, heart, and mind! But I am every grateful for getting to know you and sharing life together here in Boston. You're always level-headed, genuine, and caring. Your thoughts are refreshing and I hope you know that the Lord is with you in everything. May you experience his fullness this new year of life blessings.

-Kristi

Naomi! I'm so glad to have gotten to know you over the past year or two. You're such a sweetheart, and it's been a blessing to become friends with you. Have a happy, happy birthday, and may God bless you abundantly in this next year!

Love, Minnie

Nay,
Happy Born Day. Life is a beautiful thing. It's crazy how things are now, especially when I could just cross the street or even go down a flight of stairs to say hi. God is faithful but I'll stop being cheesy. Miss you and happy 24th B-day. We are that much closer to being 25. Much love.

- Peter Rhee

Naomi, it's been so awesome getting to know you! My transition to Boston has been made so much easier through your friendship. Minnie and I have treasured you as a true friend, and we're so excited for what God has in store for you next. Happy Birthday!!!"
-Bo

Nay!

Happy birthday! I miss you, I rub you. Hope you're doing well. Belated thank you for the Chipotle/Starbucks gift card. You rock!

Happy birthday Nay!! I’m really glad to have gotten to know you over the last couple of years! From CG to late night meals at iHOP, I’m thankful for our friendship and all the encouragement I’ve received from you. Praying that this upcoming year will be a year of much growth and blessing, especially as you potentially leave Boston and embark on a new season of life! Will miss ya Nay!

Andrew
Happy birthday Nay!!!! I'm sorry I can't be in Boston to celebrate your birthday this weekend! I don't know if I ever officially thanked you for introducing me to Cornerstone when I moved to Boston. Cornerstone has been nothing but amazing during my transition years as a graduate student living in a new city and I must thank you for being kind enough to show me around the church and introducing me to everyone! It's surreal to believe we have been in the same CG for the past two years, really growing together, depending on each other, and being vulnerable as we grew closer to God. Thank you for being such a sport in everything we do as a group and hosting almost all of our CG sessions at your house and making sure we were all comfortable and well fed :) I'm so happy to have gotten to know you and wherever you may be in the upcoming years, I pray we continue to keep in touch and keep each other accountable. Love you and hope you have the bestest birthday yet!!

-Donna

Happy Birthday, Nay!

You are a piece of work! The Lord's handiwork, that is. :) It has truly been a privilege being your sister, your neighbor and friend. I have been a recipient of your radical generosity and kindness in friendships. You are so thoughtful, mindful of others, and the standard you set for yourself in following through with relationships, even hard ones, is really something to be recognized and emulated.

I have learned a lot from you this past year, and I forget how long we've actually known each other, because it feels much longer than that. I am so thankful for you, and I hope you have a rockin' good time as you celebrate turning 24. Happy happy birthday!

Much love,
Irene
Nay, although I've only known you for less than a year, you've become one of my most coveted friends. I will miss our random laughter, kaju tofu dates, boba drinking, and potluck hosting. You're a beautiful person inside and out, and I know God has amazing things in store for you. Congratulations on the new adventures! I hope we'll be able to reunite as if we still live in the same city. God bless you, for He is good and brought you into my life.

Lots of love,
Trang
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NAY!!! Hope you have a great year!! See you in August!

-Dan Kim

NAOMI! I hope you have an incredible birthday, surrounded by people who love and cherish you. Sad to not be able to celebrate with you, but know that I'm thinking of you on this day!! Naomi, you've become such a dear sister to me. I'm thankful for your friendship and I'm humbled by how you've trusted me even though I was often a mess myself. Seeing how you've grown over the years, I can't help but be so proud of you. I pray that in this coming year, as you anticipate possible changes and transitions in your life, that God will fill every moment with His grace and that you would continue to grow in faith even in challenging or difficult seasons. The photo I found of us is from your freshman year when I was on staff and all the sisters got together to make gingerbread houses. Seems like ages ago but this photo is a sweet reminder of God's provision over all of our lives. Seeing how He's been so faithful to you in your life in Boston, I have no doubt that He'll continue to be faithful wherever you go next. Happy birthday, Naomi! Know that you are dearly loved!!

-Trace
Happy Birthday to you! 8)
Nay, you were one of my very first Boston friends, and I am so glad to have met you! I adore your twinkly eyes and your very particular eating habits and your fashion style and your singing voice and your welcoming heart and…you, God’s wonderful, unique, beautiful creation! BIG HUG, BIG HEAR, BIG LOVE!

From happy ha

Happy birthday Naomi! So thankful for you, especially on this special day. You have been such a blessing in my life these past couple of years...I only regret that distance kept us from being able to spend more time together. Hopefully that will all change soon! Praying for you, and I wish for you more blessings this year...

- C
Happy birthday, my Naomi! Welcome to the 24 club :) I feel like I'm failing you as one of your closest friends because I can't be with you on this special day, but please know that I am loving you from afar!! I am so thankful to have you in my life, knowing that I can call you whenever and talk to you about whatever. Your friendship has been such a blessing to me, and I am proud to say that you are one of my best friends. Thanks for holding onto me even though I don't keep in touch enough! I think of you often and miss you always!

Sending my love,
Ann
NAY~ happy birthday!!!! I hope God continues to bless you in all you do and I pray that your next year will be filled with tremendous joy! Continue to grow in wisdom through scripture and prayer and I'll pray that you continue to fall in love with Jesus. Thanks for always making me smile and for being so encouraging. I know we don't get to hang out often, but let's try to hang out more! Cheers to another year! :)

-Dana
Dearest Naomi,

Happy birthday to the kindest, most honest, most caring and most genuine person I know! I still remember that one day we went to the soondooboo restaurant when it first opened in Boston and we had a very lovely conversation :) Although we don't talk on a day to day basis, I still very much care for you and am rooting for you in all of your endeavors. I wish you have a great birthday and I hope to see you soon! (Hurry and move to New York!)

Love,
Kelly
Dearest Naomi- Happy birthday!! We've come a long way since our freshman days lost in the basement of a BC lacrosse party (thank god). We've changed so much in the years we've known each other, both together and apart. I am so happy that we've stayed in touch post grad and can still say that you are one of my first friends from BU :) Here's to many more years of friendship (hopefully occuring in NYC soon haha).

Love,
Nads
Jinkyung,
Happy birthday to my dearest Nayfondz! Twenty Four? Dang you are old!!!!! I mean....HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Thank you for the long sunrise talks in 601. Thank you for the spontaneous (but probably planned in your head) trips to Chipotle. Thank you for laughing at all my corny jokes. Thank you for braiding my bangs whenever I asked you to. Thank you for singing "we'll have you washed and dried" (courtesy of our girl Mulan) whenever I got ready to go out. Thank you for bacon pasta which filled my heart, my stomach, and my arteries. Thank you for singing Hosanna on Sundays. Thank you for taping my short shorts along with post-its labeled "BBANS" to the doors of our suite for the world to see. Thank you for always supporting me in my endeavors with prayer and encouragement. Thank you for always opening up to me with your problems and for listening to me when I say things that you might not necessarily want to hear. Thank you for being a friend. Thank you for being a sister. Thank you for being one of the biggest reminders of God's provision in my life! July 26th...God certainly did EXTRA GOOD on this day...NAM SAYING? I'm so glad that we became invested in each other's lives through friendship and through living together. I still look back on our times at 601 with a sweet nostalgic mixture of horror, amusement, wistfulness, but mostly gratefulness. Happy birthday again my dearest Jinkyungz! Have the most amazing day/weekend ever because you more than deserve it. Can't wait till you're in New York and we gain back all the weight we lost after we stopped living together! YAY!

Love you so much and see you soon (OBVIOUSLY)...

Arexaurous
Happy Birthday Naomi. I'm sorry I'm sarcastic and we started off as arch enemies. I'm glad we're friends now.

Love, Ben.
Happy Birthday Nay!
It’s been such a blessing getting to know you over the past year! I know your time in Boston is potentially coming to a close, but I'm excited for the new page that God might be turning in your life. You have done so much for this community in so many different ways – from serving on worship team and using the voice that God has gifted you with, to hosting CG every week and making dip for us, to being completely open and honest in our CG discussions. You have an honesty and openness that is really rare and it’s refreshing! And don’t ever feel like you are “talking too much” – we are all encouraged when you share how God is working in your life and challenging you. You have touched so many people at this church, and no matter where you end up – whether in Boston or somewhere else – I know that God will use you in great ways to advance His kingdom as you love Him and cherish your relationship with Him! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
-Steve
Happy birthday Nay! Your birthday is a time to celebrate you being in this world and I for one am super happy that you are in my life. I remember hearing you sing at retreat and how that motivated me and pushed me to worship. I remember you being a great listener at our CG sessions and encouraged me to share. I remember how we ate KFC randomly and how you made me feel less guilty eating a chicken sandwich that probably had a million calories. I just want to thank you for all those memories and many more. Thank you and yo momma! Have a good birthday and I pray that the next year will be just as good! (even if you're not in BOSTON *sadface)
-Ken
haappyy birthday nay! it's such a great day! this next year of life is going to be full of even more blessings and joy than the last especially as you look to start another chapter in your life! here's to another year of making awesome memories! happy happy birfdey!

-Pat
Naomi! Happy birthday! I miss you oh so much and I wish you a very happy birthday! You will always be my favorite small group co-leader and have a special place in my heart. You were there when it was one of the darkest points of my life and helped me through it. I wish you the best in all that you do and hold you as a very special sister!

Have a wonderful birthday :)

-jpak
Dear Nay,

I want to first start by thanking God for our friendship. I thank God not only for your honesty in all situations but your passion for things outside of just your immediate surroundings (i.e. Asian American issues and women's issues). You seem to have a strong heart for tackling institutionalized sin and that is something I admire. I am also thankful for your presence in our CG because of your willingness to share and your boldness when you do share. Finally, thank you for always being so uplifting and cheerful because sometimes on days when I wasn't doing so well, your presence definitely brought my spirits up. All in all you are a light for our community and for those around you. I pray that you will continue to know the Lord and hunger for more of Him. God is with you always and we as a community also stand with you even though we may not physically be near! Thank you for being an amazing sister in our Lord Jesus Christ!

Happy Birthday Nay!!!
-Justin Oh

Happy Birthday Naomi!!
Thank you for all the ways you've encouraged me directly and indirectly... I'm always blessed by your hospitality and generosity and all the ways you serve and love your friends. Whether you know it or not, you've grown tremendously over the past year in many ways and I'm excited to see what kind of woman you will shape in to in this next year. No matter how lonely you feel, don't forget how loved you are obviously by God but also by your friends and community.

love, Francis
Happy birthday Nay! It's been a blessing to have known you and to have been able to call you friend throughout these past few years. I hope this year is filled with even more growth and blessing! Continue to serve Him!

-James
Nay,
Happy Birthday. So thankful for you as a sister and friend in my life.
It is certainly a blessing to confidently know that there are friends who truly seem to be "for me" and on my side.
Most importantly - so thankful to see how our God is changing you, year after year, sharpening your strengths, and building upon your weaknesses.
You are one of the best women I know - much love! Happy birthday!
-Dooree
Happy birthday, my best friend. You are fortunate enough to be born two days after me. Jokes aside, I am so grateful that I have a friend like you. I have learned what it means to stick the rough out and to be loyal to the grave. Four years of college would not have been the same without you and the 2 years of young adult life would have been dreary without you. We will soon be reunited in the same city, and I can't wait! Sleepovers, dinners, dates to come. It will be awesome and glorious. Let's celebrate our birthdays together soon!
-Bang
Naomi!
Happy Birthday! I pray that God will bring so many blessings your way in the next year. It's been such a blessing to watch you grow over the years that we have been together. We have been through it all.....the good and the bad, but even after everything, you still manage to be the perfect creation that God has made. I want you to know that despite my stupid behavior and mess ups, I love you so much. I may not always be the best at showing it but I do. You manage to sharpen me in so many ways and I hope that I can do the same for you, so that we can grow together in Him. Happy 24th Birthday Nay!

-Dave
Now that you know that we love you....
GO ENJOY YOUR BIRTHDAY!
Nay!

Happy birthday! My goodness, I can't believe I've known you for 6 of your birthdays, that's pretty crazy how God brought us together for so long now. I don't think I've written you a personal note during those years though haha. With that said, I wanted to say thank you for being such a good friend to me all these years, through the good and the bad times. You've seen me in my best and my worst during all these years, and I think that's really significant and important. I know you've been feeling left out, lonely, and somewhat frustrated about the lack of meetings and hanging out and stuff, but I do want to reassure you that I (as well as others) are constantly thinking about you and praying for you! Even if our BC/BU crew are mostly in NY/NJ, and as much as it seems like we're all separated even within Boston, you're always cared for especially because you care for me and others so much. I'm really thankful for our friendship and I hope that we'll continue to encourage each other especially through the hard times, like we have already been doing. This might seem like a bad/sad time for you, but know that me and others in our class got your back! Have a great 24th year coming up, it'll be a good year for sure! Again, thank you nay, and looking forward to more friendship coming up :D

-ayo
Dearest Naomi,
You were one of my favorite freshmen from the beginning. From sharing a love for powderpuff football to your Fräulein Maria haircut, I found you quite endearing. I have seen you grow up into a steadfast woman of God and I can't tell you how proud I am of you. Happy Birthday!
