-Religion is another important cultural element.

-Religious beliefs and practices help people answer basic questions about life's meaning.

-There are 5 major world religions which have more than 4.5 billion followers.
History
-History shapes how a culture views itself and the world.

-Culture groups tell stories to support certain values and help people developed cultural pride and unity.
Daily Life
-Food, clothing, and shelter are basic human needs.

-The type of food you eat and how you eat it reflect your culture.

-Your daily life reflects your culture.

-People need rules in order to live together without conflict. Governments fulfill this need.

-Economic success can be seen in people's quality of life.

Purpose: To understand how you fit in social groups and how they affect/impact you.

Directions:

1st. Get a blank piece of computer paper and a blank sheet of notebook paper

2nd. Turn your computer paper landscape

3rd. Create a tree diagram similar to the diagram on the Prezi (IT DOES NOT HAVE TO LOOK LIKE THAT ONE)

4th. List all the members of your family and figure out where you fit in your family on the tree

5th. Do the same thing on the back for your friend group
