Wind Farms: The wind farm consist....: In a large wind farm, may consist of several hundred individual wind turbines, and cover an extend area of hundreds of square miles, but the land between the turbines may be used for agricultural or other purposes.

A wind farm may also be located offshore. Wind Power in ONTARIO. ONTARIO is at the forefront of wind energy in CANADA, with more than 1,500 M of wind generation capacity connected to the provience's power grid. Wind Power: Pros..! Wind Power: Cons! 1.- wind turbines can be noisy.
2.- wind farms require a fair amount of land, about 24 hectares (60 acres) per megawatt.
3.- Not all areas are suitable for wind-power generation.
4.- Some enviromentalists are concerned about soil erosion, particularly in desert regions. A wind farms is a group of wind urbines in the same location used to produce electric power. Power System! As system operator, the IESO plays a fundamental role in helping bring wind projects into service & ensuring that Ontario's power system can effectively support increased levels of wind generation. 1.- wind power has grown to be economically competitive with other forms of power.
2.- Although it cost more to generate 1 kilowatt of electricity.
3.- A farmer can be paid $2,000 to $5,000 in royalties per wind turbine
4.- wind turbines do not consume water.
