1. Installing VPStudio
VPStudio is standard delivered when purchasing a KIT of our instruments. VPStudio can also be bought separately or download the free edition from our website:

It's very important to enter the exact 'inner' diameter.
Especially for smaller diameters it will result in deviation of the accuracy.
NOTE:
For knowing the exact inner diameter a ultrasonic thickness gauge meter is used! (see price list)
Reset totalizer
The totalizer can only be reset using VPStudio! Not on the display.
Click to reset and save your settings.
4-20 mA
Factory settings are in mn/sec. You can change this to your preference and it will automatically calculate your specifications.
Select type instrument
Click + to open menu
5. Real time Data
1. Select the real time data
Move your cursor to the Graph and click your right mouse button. You see a button with Acquire, click on it.

Click on/off to show in Graphic
This is Not the 0 of the Graph, but of the flow!
Blow into sensor to see the flow on the Graph moving.

When measuring in Real time the data on the graphic can be exported to CSV file.

Note that VPStudio is not programmed as as a data logger.
7. Exporting data
press right click in Graph
Select Export
1. Export CSV file
2. Select destiny to save on your PC
3. Choose your preferred parameters
Country settings
Depending on the country settings of Excel it could be that when exporting your CSV files into Excel provide problems as it doesn't recognize them as numbers.
The US uses a dot ( . ) as for Europe uses a comma ( , ) between the numbers.
You can test this by simply taking a sum of the provided numbers.
If they add up as total, your settings are good otherwise you don't get a Value
Here you can change
the settings of the parameters
when exporting the file.

6. DAQ sessions
1. Select your session
Click the + under Display
Your sessions will be logged using the memory of the display. You can record new sessions until the memory is full. (interval settings can extend your memory)

Deleting sessions can only be done in the display of your VPFlowScope and not with VPStudio. Everything will be erased after that.
The memory contains 500.000 points in the
display. To save memory you can set the intervals to your likings.

When connecting your VPFlowMate with
the RS232 cable to your PC, you will not see
which COM port is connected. Normally
standard RS232 connection is Port COM1
You can also get a RS232 cable with
USB converter, which will show
the device when connecting.

Totalizer
Only the VPFLowMate Inline can the totalizer be reset with VPStudio!
For the VPFLowMate Inline the settings are fixed and can't be edited in any way. The diameter is fixed and therefore needs no changes.
Only for resetting the totalizer and testing the Instrument, VPStudio is needed.
The filter can be used to average the flow that's measured. It will slower the reaction time of the sensor
After configuring your flowmeter press Store.

Or save your settings. This way you can easily upload the settings of common use when measuring in different diameters.

Using Modbus to communicate with VPVision or SCADA system you need to set the address before connecting!

You can set your pulse by clicking
the amount of m3n/hr to
generate a pulse.
