Virginia History
Virginia played a very crucial role in the Civil War. The state capitol, Richmond, became the capitol of Confederacy, and most of the battles werefought in Virginia. Many government institutions are in state.

Virginia is not the coldest state nor the hottest. The highest temperature should be in the 60s (degrees farenheit) and the lowest in the is in the 40s and 30s. Virginia has it all. It has from beaches to mountains. Virginia has very beautiful, clean beaches that everybody would love.

The Virginian flag was first adopted in 1861. At that time, the people wanted their freedom which is shown in the flag symbolically. Their state motto, SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS, (thus always to tyrants), is also on the flag. On the flag, you can also see Virtue stepping on a tyrant which to them symbolizes Virginia stepping on Britan.
