MINTS CAPITALIZATION RULES Always capitalize the names of months, days of the week, and names of holidays! Months, Days, and Holidays Capitalize the word I in a sentence. The Pronoun I Names All sentences begin with capital letters. Sentences A capital letter begins the first, last, and any important word in the title of a book, magazine, song, movie, poem, or other work. Titles Let's Practice! TIP: We do not capitalize seasons. Examples: Days of the week:
We do not go to school on Saturdays. Holidays:
We bake a pumpkin pie every year for Thanksgivng. Months:
My favorite holiday is in December. I am going to be in a kickball tournament. Is this the store where I can buy a kickball ?
