Young Ronaldo's Life
Intro To Soccer
Ronaldo's Career...
just the beginning
How He Inspires Me
Cristiano Ronaldo
By his early teens, Ronaldo's talent was purely natural, simply remarkable and quickly becoming noticable. He got attention of Nacional da liha da Madeira and was signed to Sporting Portugal in 2001. That same year, at the tender age of 16, Ronaldo turned heads with a mesmerizing performance against Manchester United! He impressed his opponents so much with his footwork skills, quickness, and cleverness that many of the Man U players asked their manager to try and sign him -
His career was about to begin!

Bibliography
Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro known as Cristiano Ronaldo was born on February 5th, 1985 on the small island of Funchal, Madeira, Portugal. He is the youngest of the four children. Ronaldo's parents, Maria Dolores dos Santos and Jose Dinis Aveiro. They loved movies and his father named Ronaldo after the actor and former President, Ronald Reagan. Growing up, Ronaldo and his family went through many struggles. They grew up poor in a large working class neighborhood and, lived in a small tin roofed shack that overlooked the ocean. His father worked as a gardener and equipment manager. His mother was a cook and cleaning lady. Ronaldo worked many odd jobs as a child earning extra money for his family. In 2005, Ronaldo lost his father, an alcoholic, to liver disease. Despite his rough childhood, he discovered soccer and there might be more to life.
Ronaldo was introduced to the beautiful game of soccer at 6 years old. Ronaldo helped his dad at work many times at a boy's club, that is where young Ronaldo found the interest and love for soccer. By the time he was 10 years old, he was already recognized as a superstar phenomenon. Everybody said Ronaldo ate, slept and drank the game!
said,'' all he wanted to do was play soccer. There would be nights where Ronaldo would miss meals or escape out of his bedroom window with a ball when he was supposed to be doing his homework."

Ronaldo's Teenage Years
As Ronaldo began his career, he continued to impress worldly players and coaches. After his astonishing performance against Manchester United, they didn't want to miss the opportunity to sign the young player and they did with over a £12 million for his talent. Playing for Manchester United, his career sky rocketed in a very short time. Ronaldo stayed true to his natural talent and skill early on in the 2004 FA Cup final, scoring the team's first three goals and helping them capture the championship! In 2008, a year after signing a five-year, £31 million contract, Ronaldo again justified the high tab when he put together one of Man U's finest seasons in history, setting a record for himself as an all time record of 42 goals, his break out of success. That year, he won numerous awards and the biggest honor as the FIFA World Player of the Year award voted by coaches and players from international teams; the greatest achievement of his young career! His career continues to be remarkable and will be legenary.
Ronaldo inspires me in lots of ways, the main reason he does is because of the way he grew up having a really tough childhood and over coming that to become who he is today. Nothing could of stopped Ronaldo enough to ever quit playing soccer! I look up to him a lot because I would love to be able to be just as good as him one day! Just watching him play inspires me because he really has come from so much and nobody can take that away from him. Ronaldo will always be one of my role models because he cares about his teamates on the field and cares for others on and off the field. Ronaldo could've quit and grew up poor and not of worked for anything, but he didn't and look where he is today!
