Status / Problems
Geomatics: tools and techniques used in:
Land surveying: coordinates and details obtaining.
Remote sensing: get info from satellite images, aerophotographs, etc.
GPS: obtain coordinates by using satellite information.
GIS: Geographic Information System.
System designed to capture, store, manipulate, analyze, manage, and present all types of geographical data.
Cartography: study and practice of making maps

Meet service level agreement (SLA) to clients including centralized GIS model, database maintenance, tangible deliverables, technology transfer to non-GIS users staff and innovation.

GIS manager has overall responsibility for ensuring GIS work elements (database, infrastructure, applications and staff resources) are managed, maintained, and enhanced to meet/agreed Emerald requirements.
