Guidelines for Faculty
New and Part-Time faculty who have not yet secured their I.D. may present a teaching load or a certification from the Dean.
Book Selection:
Faculty are encouraged actively to participate in the selection of books for the library. Forms on which to write the complete bibliographical data of the book to be recommended are available at the Circulation Counter.
Newly Processed Books:
Bibliography of newly processed books are posted in the Bulletin Board. These books are displayed in the New Arrivals Area for a week. Members of the Faculty are given the priority to examine and borrow these books.
Reference Service
Faculty members will be referred to all possible sources of information in their information and research needs and in the preparation of their syllabi.
They should inform the librarian ahead of time before assigning certain readings/research topics to their students, to enable the librarian to prepare the needed materials.
Book Loans
Full-time Faculty may borrow ten books for a semester.

Part-time may borrow four books for one semester endorsed by their program Dean.
Regular Employees of FSUU are allowed to borrow for one week.
Faculty members are discouraged from borrowing books for other members of the family or friends.
General References are for "Library Use Only", however, these can be borrowed for "Classroom Use".

OVERDUE BOOKS: Faculty are notcharged with overdue fines, however they cannot borrow until the overdue library materials are returnd or renewed . Books to be renewed should be brought to the library for proper processing and recording.

RESERVED BOOKS: Faculty can request to place some books at the Reserved for their students' collateral reading.
Library Policies
- All Library users are expected to respect the right of others to study in a quiet atmosphere. It is the staff's responsibility to enforce the rule of silence and as such is authorized to confiscate ID of students who engaged in discussions and in loud and extended conversations in the library. Confiscated I.D. are to be turned over to the Director of Libraries.

- Students who engage in disruptive and in inappropriate behaviors are asked to leave the library.

- Class projects that require the use of manila papers, pentelpen, scissors and related materials should not be done in the library.

- Group discussions are allowed in the Library System (e.g. Feasibility Study, Baby Thesis, etc.) Discussion room is provided.
- Cell phones, must be set in SILENT MODE while inside the library. Answering/making calls should be done outside the library.

- Laptops can be used in designated areas provided for the purpose.

- Chairs must be pushed back against the table after using and must not be transferred from one place to another.

- Smoking, eating, and drinking are not permitted in the library.

- Borrowed materials are subjected to recall upon the expiration of the loan period or at anytime if needed for class use.

- Students with overdue books or standing accounts will not be allowed to borrow until the accounts are settled and the overdue books are renewed or returned.

- General Reference books, such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, atlases, manuals, books in sets are for library use only.
Circulation Policies
- All Library material to be borrowed should be charged out at the circulation counter. The user should present his/her Icard upon borrowing. Borrowing by proxy and authorization letter is not allowed. Each borrower is held responsible for all the books drawn on his name.

Control Policies
- Students should tap their valid FSUU ICard on the RFID upon entering the library.

- All library users must pass the security gate upon leaving the library premises.

- Overdue books are not allowed to be brought out of the library until renewed/
Loan Periods
- Student may borrow three (3) books at a time and may renew them if no one has placed a reservation.

- A book may be renewed once only to give others the opportunity to borrow the book.

Guidelines in Borrowing
- Can be borrowed for three days and renewed for another three days unless requested by another user.
Fiction Books
Can be borrowed for one week and renewed for another once week unless requested by another user
Are issued for one hour at a time for overnight and library use only. Extension for additional hours may be granted unless there is a prior demand by another reader.
Reserved books may be used for inside use only, But books of more than one copy can be loaned for overnight.
Undergraduate theses and feasibility study materials are to be used inside the library only and are strictly not to be photocopied
- Secure an ALINET Form from the Director of Libraries to be presented to the library where one wants to do research.

- Pay Php. 20.00 per hour/day to the Cashier's Office of the lending School.
- Present the receipt to the librarian for a library permit to do research.

- Outsiders who want to avail of the resource sharing will follow the same procedure.
Lost Book
- Circulation Books - A fine of Php.3.00 per day (undergrad) Php. 5.00 per day (Graduate/Law including Holidays and Sunday.

- Fiction Books - Php. 3.00 a day including Sundays and Holidays.
- Reserved Books - A fine of Php 3.00 for the first hour and Php 2.00 for the succeeding hour; or Php20.00 for each full day including Sundays and holidays.

- Php 3.00 for the first hour during examination days.
- Must be reported at once and replaced or paid by the borrower. In the event that the reported lost book is found, only the usual fine is charged.

-No violation of rules and regulations of the library will be excused on the plea of ignorance. Thus, violation of the library rules and policies may result in the denial and withholding of library privileges.

- Is a special component of the Library's Reference and Information Service.

-EIRC allows the clientele to discover and explore digital resources, internet access and online databases.
