About 60 militiamen faced 100 of well trained British soldiers.No one knows the first shot at Lexington, but many have called it THE SHOT HEARD AROUND THE WORLD.

The shot heard around the world 1775

British soldiers marched from Boston to Lexington and concord in Massachusetts. At the end of the battle ,300 British soldiers were dead or hurt.

The British leaders thought the colonists were troublemakers. The king made knew laws to punish the troublemakers and keep them under control. The laws were very harsh. The colonists were having a hard time paying for their homes and food. Other colonies helped my sending money , food ,and supplies.

the law said the colonists had to pay for a stamp, for magazines, news-papers, and even playing cards.

The first continental congress OF 1774

After the Boston massacre the British realized that they had to calm down the colonists.The British leaders agreed to cancel all of the un popular taxes. They still wanted the colonists to know that they were still in charge ,so they kept the taxes for their favorite drink , tea.

The Boston tea party OF 1773

Five colonists lay dead and six badly hurt,all because the taxes the colonists had to pay mad and they bothered the soldiers and the soldiers fired there guns.

The colonists didn’t have the right to move west from the Appalachian Mountains.
The British leaders didn’t let them move west to keep them safe, but the colonists
ignored it and moved west anyway.

The war took from 1754 to 1763. Great Britain won the land Ohio River Valley.

the law said the colonists had to provide soldiers with places to live,food,transportation and supplies,they had to pay for it.
