About a dozen universities, mostly private allow pets
What could go wrong?
-Having a pet in the dorm can be a cute idea at first, until:
pet odor
limited space
dirty fish tanks
- List of college friendly pets that can avoid those situations especially in a double or triple dorm and help students ease their way into higher education
"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened."
Going to college can be bittersweet even for the most academically driven teen
Having or owning a pet can provide benefits like:
Automatic relaxation response when playing or petting a pet
Reduce loneliness, stress, and homesick
-Dorm for pets
-Fostering pets from shelters
-Day care for plus size pets

New atmosphere: (your bed, friends,studying habits etc)
Scary and sometimes lonely because homesick

At Eckerd College, they allow pets less than 6 feet
-Dogs, cats, rabbits etc
(Goldfish, Betas, Guppies)
Aquatic Frogs
Hermit Crabs
Stephen's College
(Pet-friendly College)
Pets for Pepperdine
Aside from these pet-friendly campuses, Pepperdine is a University with a strong commitment to Christian Values and Academic Excellence.
