While wedding dresses, from the early 1900s to present day, based on societies ideas of beauty and the wearing of headpieces stayed the same, wearing long sleeves changed to wearing short sleeves and wearing loose dresses changed to wearing formfitting dresses.
Wedding dresses are continuously improving based on societies ideas of beauty. They are continuously getting better because the designers want to have dresses that appeal to women and make more money.
Wedding Dresses continue to have with headpieces. They continue to have headpieces because it is customary for the groom to not be able to see the brides face until the end of the ceremony.
One change was that wedding dresses stopped having long sleeves and started having short sleeves. Wedding dresses stopped having long sleeves in the 1940s because women started to wear more revealing forms of clothing.
Another change was that wedding dresses started to become form fitting instead of loose. Wedding dresses started to become form fitting in the 1940s because they were meant to appeal more to women and make a better income.
