Transcript of The Computer

History of the Computer In 1936: 1st freely programmable computer made by Konrad Zuse.
1945: 1st electronic computer, the ENIAC, was used during WWII to calculate artillery fire, it weighed 30 tons and was the size of a house!

1954:Integrated Circuits were introduced into computers, using microchips that worked as semiconductors. An invention that has advanced physical Science THE COMPUTER This made the computer work as a whole, not off single components. It also helped with: Speed Cost Power Use Less Equals By the 1960s computers began to show up in businesses. And in 1975 the first consumer computer: the IBM 5100 came out, it was customizable by the user, and cost around $10,000. yo wassup 1981: First Personal Computer (PC) introduced,
fits on desks worldwide.

Things such as Cyber-Bullying and Hacking work against the good of the computer, but with increasing technology, security and internet safety may get better. HOW IT'S MADE STEP 1: Pure silicon is melted down in a crucible, then a cylinder of it is extracted -The cylinder is cut into wafers, then ground, polished, and cleaned STEP 2: Materials are precisely added, removed, and shaped on wafer through chemical and photographic processes -This creates a complex and unique set of layers,
it is the circuitry.
STEP 3: The chips are assembled in a super-clean environment,
with highly filtered air by workers in clean-room suits HOW IT WORKS Assembly of the computer ``Six computers should be sufficient for all the world's requirements,'' said an IBM executive in the mid-1950s. STEP 4: The finished product's circuitry is tested. 3-5 microprocessors=1 wafer, a diamond saw is used to shape the chip. -The small silicon chips work as semiconductors, letting power flow through it quickly. And What its made of -Impurities like boron, aluminum, phosphorus and arsenic are
added to the silicon to increase its conductivity. -These microprocessors do 100s of millions of instructions every second -The instructions are the sent throughout
all the departments in computer,
sending data constantly S I X If only he knew what he was getting himself in to... BIBLIOGRAPHY -www.howstuffworks.com/pc -google.com/images -buzzle.com/articles/what-are-computer-chips-made
