WHAT IS LEARNING?
Profile of a Natural Communication Class
1) Remove anxiety
2) Try to establish good rapport from the start.
3) Have MOTIVATION as a central feature of our classes
4) Offer students as much as " Comprehensible input " as possible without monopolizing the class.
5) Help learners grow confident.
6) make practice activities meaningful, purposeful, communicative. AVOID mechanical, meaningless drills in isolation.
7) Avoid Ambiguity; Give clear, straightforward instructions.
8)Vary the ways of presenting material.
9)AVOID grammar labels because they are not clarifying
10) REMEMBER: Learners - not teachers- are the center of the class.

Natural Communication Methodology to Foreign Language Teaching and Learning
The primary motive for learning a language is that it provides a means of communication.
By not forcing your students " to produce till they are ready."
By not interrupting for error correction during interaction when intelligibility is not affected ( when meaning is conveyed).
By students overt awareness of critical points in new material: students discovering by themselves- with teacher´s guidance - the relationship between meaning and form.
We are going to talk about "moments" not steps.
It´s important to get the students used to flexible treatment so that they do not expect each class to be a reproduction of previous ones.
The teacher´s aim during "warm-up" should be to make students relax, act uninhibitedly, build up their motivation and expose them to "comprehensible input" REMEMBER : low anxiety helps students to learn better!
Warm - up moment
This moment will serve for integration of previously seen material in as free a way as possible.
With what purpose?
Material seen or learnt before or just in the previous class and not used communicatively or naturally enough.
On returning home-assignments and detecting common errors: overgeneralization, wrong application of the rules, fossilization
To pave the way for material to be presented in class.

Presentation of new material by means of a lesson from a textbook
GLobal presentation - Listening Task
Whether we are working with beginners, intermediate or advance learners, children, adolescents or adults, We should facilitate understanding and try to remove the affective barrier ( obstacle to comprehension) especially when students are exposed to new material orally.
Try to place the students into the setting ( whatever it is): We can use visual aids. (1)We can show them a picture, an amplified reproduction of the the picture illustrating the lesson, we can help students describe the picture and we can provide at this moment any lexical items they may need.
Expose Students to the whole conversation ( global presentation): necessary for student to: detect the value of what is being said within a given situation
The roles, the topic.
For the Students to listen with a purpose, You should assign a listening task
Checking of Understanding
Depending on the listening task, the students will have no problem fulfilling it.
If at the very beginning of the course, the students answer in L1, the Teacher will all the same be able to evaluate their comprehension. In other cases, Comprehension will be checked by drawing, or writing or identifying, matching or completing pictures.
The Teacher exposes the students to "Logical Chunks" of the lesson for the sake of analysis
Moment of students´ awareness and verbalization
This moment is crucial for the learner to become conscious of the meaning(s) conveyed and/or the functions performed.
This awareness cannot be achieved without the teacher´s help and guidance.
Make short to-the- point questions.
Next we guide our students to discover the linguistic forms used to signal the concept and function just verbalized.
Try not to provide any grammatical label because it does not help learners to communicate.
