He was one of the people who didn’t give the gods what they were due. They caused him a lot of trouble. Athena began to feel bad for him, but Poseidon did not. He created a multitude of tribulations for Odysseus to go through. The tribulations lasted for another 10 years. Odysseus’s wife, __________, had to deal with many men who thought Odysseus was dead during the twenty years he was gone. She tired very hard to make them leave by not treating them very nicely. The men were getting impatient and wanted her to choose a new husband. She said she would when she finished weaving. However, Penelope fully believed Odysseus wasn’t dead. She decided she was going to __________ everything she had done the day before so she never had to finish. Eventually one of her servants told the suitors what she was doing and the men caught her. Penelope had a wonderful idea to prevent herself from having to marry any of the suitors. The suitors had to _________ Odysseus's _____. Penelope knew this would be a great plan because no one could do this but Odysseus.Many of the men tried but could not succeed. Odysseus’s son, ______________, grew up very angrily. He was always having to deal with the suitors treating his mother so poorly. He also believed that his father wasn’t dead. Telemachus went to the main land to retrieve news of his father. ____________ informed Telemachus that his father was not dead. He was on the island of Calypso with no hope of return. When Odyssey finally did return home, he found himself among a multitude of suitors. He proved to Penelope that it was him by __________ his bow. Once his bow was complete, he began to kill all of the men who were acting so rudely towards his wife.
