Transcript of synergy in the workplace

Synergy is the interaction of multiple elements in a system to produce an effect different from or greater than the sum of their individual effects. The term synergy comes from the Greek word synergia συνεργία from synergos, συνεργός, meaning "working together". individual priorities
Meta Programs, etc; Team Synergy problems are caused by human discrepancy such as difference in: ineffective communication, poor management,
poor coordination/strategy, poor leadership/followership,
individuals not playing as team players,
people not pulling their own weights low productivity;
overlap or gap of work,
individuals not performing at their best,
lack of responsibility and accountability,
people not mindful about holistic process,
people blaming people, etc. The by-product: How can people work well together if they describe one another in disparaging ways? criticism
limiting beliefs
fault-finding Criticism: compliments compliments constructive Gossip
Praise He can't carry a tune! But he writes great lyrics. When you stop participating in putting others down, people will stop gossiping around you. backbiting... put-downs... We cannot put others down, without lowering ourselves. superiority anything used to elevate one's own importance above that of another education, experience, age, sex, race, religion, team, health, lifestyle... minimizing the importance of others, minimizes overall possibility of success! limiting beliefs about others... see others as they may become exclusion creates outcasts everyone has something to contribute Leadership: Heroes protect & serve something greater than themselves Leadership is not accomplished with demands or position;
it's accomplished with service.

Knowing and addressing the needs of others with sincerity and love will cause people to follow willingly. Leaders and followers must co-exist and share in the experience. What would happen if everyone rushed to go through the door at the same time? A good leader will hold the door and pass through last. Confidence VS Arrogance comes from within the need to be elevated above others Willingness to give and take When everyone cannot agree on every idea, consider accepting many ideas which compliment the whole. Harmony in the workplace begins with YOU Give it to get it. Think of someone you struggle "liking"...

Write 3 things you like about this person.

Write 3 things they do well.

Now, say it to their soul. Did you know?
...doing something nice for someone else, releases serotonin? fault-finding: in archery, to "sin" is to miss the mark
