What is Black American culture?
The Black American culture also known as Afro-American is in the United States refers to the cultural contributions of African Americans to the culture of the United States, either as part of or distinct from American culture. African-American culture is rooted in Africa.
There are many components that contribute to the black american culture, such as food, history, arts, religion, modern and past trends.
African American Customs
In the Afrincan American culture, we hold many differnt customs but mainly one religion. Some of our customs are
African American Culture is the root of american culture. Africans were forced from there home land and brought to America and used as slaves. Africans were ripped of their original culture, raped, degraded and abused.
Since slaves were taken from their culture they had to create a new one. In this process African Americans came up with dances, style, language, food and inventions.
Black Literature
Maya Angelou, Langston Hughes, Alice Walker are some famous writers and poets of the African American community.

Black Art
Historical Events
Black people have had a lot of accomplishments and have created a lot of new things throughout history. Some great accomplishments for black people is when Obama became president, the first African-American Miss America, first African American astronaut.
