Some things that made the book such a gripping novel are: Divergent is a book that comes with twist and mysteries that makes you so shocked. A girl is torn between her own family and who she is! Does she stay with her family or leave? On the girls journey we discover about who her family really are and who she is meant to be, and does a beloved boy, she falls in love with get in the way of everything........ The genre Dystopia is always set in the future. It concerns trying to find out about the mysterious characters and problems and why they happen. Dystopia In dystopian books the characters are a mix of both girls and boys. The characters in the genre are mainly a teenager age. Settings are really important because they set the feelings and the mood of the characters.
The settings are dark and gloomy. There is not much colour to the description besides that it is a scary and dark place to be in. Some of the books have a made up place, however some books are set in America, Chicago and even Canada. In Dystopian books the characters face a trauma of life changing experiences that can lead to life and death situations. The ones they mean the most can be the ones who are in most danger. With other evil characters out to get them they have to turn against their family and friends and hide who they really are. These books should be read by teenagers. Anyone younger will find it a book that is too old for them and will not understand the basic outline of the story. Against all odds, 17-year-old Gene has survived in a world where humans have been eaten to near extinction by the general population. The only remaining humans, or hepers as they are known, are housed in domes on the savannah and studied at the nearby Heper Institute. Every decade there is a government sponsored hunt. When Gene is selected to be one of the combatants he must learn the art of the hunt but also elude his fellow competitors whose suspicions about his true nature are growing. There is some times romances A Dystopian book that will make you not want to put it down This next Dystopian book is about a teenage girl you has to fight for her life. Do boys get in the way?
