Matthew 3:13-4:11 page 682

January 17, 2016
In the thick of his grueling ministry, Jesus depended on his Father during times of prayer and solitude. (Mark 1:35; 14:23; Luke 6:12)

Jesus spent the night in God’s presence in the Garden of Gethsemane the night before he was crucified. (Matthew 26:36-46; Luke 22:39-46)

Jesus depended on his Father while hanging on the cross: (Luke 23:33, 46; Matthew 27:46)

3 LIES Satan wants you to believe:
1. You are what you do (Matt. 4:1-4)
2. You are what others think (v.5-7)
3. You are what you have (v.8-10)
1. If you are full on Jesus, you won’t cave to junk food
2. If you are full on Jesus, you can love like Jesus
(Love) is not self-seeking
