Lights Out Survival
By: Breanna Williams

If all of a sudden your electricity went out what would you do? To tell you the truth I’d be kind of scared. One reason I would be scared is because when your electricity goes out it is really dark at night. Usually I would have gone downstairs with a flashlight of course, to get extra batteries in case the flashlight dies out. Even with or without it, I would get scared no matter what.

In addition, I wouldn’t just there waiting for the electricity to come while sitting doing nothing but staring at everybody. I would at least try communicating. Well I would try to at least try to a few games just to make the time go by. We would either tell true stories or make up some of our own. I would try to get to know my family some more since I usually just come home and watch TV.

Third, I’d feel exhausted because I know I wouldn’t be able to stay up all night. I’d fall asleep from telling stories. Maybe even from playing games. Although eventually just from waiting I would soon get a little tired.

In conclusion, I would be scared, but I would try to communicate so we would have something to talk about, and I’d eventually get tired, but just remember never take electricity for granted.
