Waterpolo Queensland Club Coordinator Swiming Victoria Special Projects Coordinator Hockey Tasmania Game Development Coordinator Job Description Comparison Extensive Analysis Position Description Waterpolo Queensland Hockey Tasmania Swimming Victoria - The role is a support role to the Executive Director working with the Waterpolo clubs and external partners to ensure sustainability, participation levels and volunteering. The Special Coordinators reports to the Manager of Community Development and is responsible for planning and delivery of Swimming Victoria's programs in regards to development. With particular focus with increasing participation in Disability and Indigenous communities The Game Development Coordinator for Hockey Tasmania will be responsible for promotion, implementation and delivery of Hockey development programs, events and activities. Duties and Key Responsibilities for the Roles Waterpolo Queensland Hockey Tasmania Swimming Victoria The Key Responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:

- Club/ Association Marketing & Administration assistance

- Club/ association participation development and growth

- Volunteer management, recruitment & retention

- Policy writing and implementation

- Funding/ grant application

- Facility planning and development The Key Responsibilities for Special Project Director are as follows:

- Partner with swimming organisations to develop a pathway for lifelong swimming, coaching & officiating.

- Develop relationships with aquatic & sporting associations for mutually beneficial outcomes.

- Facilitate joint SAL/SV promotional campaigns in Victoria aimed at increasing participation & membership.

- Maximise funding opportunities from government organisations, SAL & sporting programs.

- Develop initiatives & programs that engage new & diverse participation & membership by promoting the
significant health, lifestyle & social benefits of swimming. Key Responsibilities sources from three sections of the Job Description:

- Play a key role in the promotion and management of HT events as platforms for increasing participation.

- Increase exposure to hockey for new participants by planning and delivering development programs and activities in schools and communities.

- Work with the Hockey Tasmania's Southern Hockey League to implement strategies to increase the rate of children transitioning from school &/or HT run introductory programs to club based hockey competition

- Coordinate the delivery of player development programs and activities including club and school based activities, holiday activities and development squads.

- Coach and/or assist with the coaching of State teams as required Job Specific Qualifications Waterpolo Queendsland Hockey Tasmania Swimming Victoria - Tertiary qualifications and or experience in business, marketing, sport or community development.

- Current Working with Children Check (QLD Blue card) or ability to obtain one

- Current drivers Licence and own transport

- Current first aid certificate or ability to obtain one
• Qualifications or previous experience in Sports Administration or related field

• Qualifications in Community Development or similar field

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• PC skills and a sound understanding of Microsoft Word and database software

• The ability to plan tasks, analyse material and make recommendations

• Experience in project management

• High level of commitment including ability to follow-through

• Current drivers licence and access to vehicle - Demonstrated experience in developing key contacts and networks

-Excellent organisational and time management skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities

-A high level of computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, e-mail and Internet

- Full Drivers License
