Abstract:
Application
After conducting this experiment I can say that, when this experiment is compared to the human body, the egg shell is like emanel teeth. the vinager and lemon juice would damage the emanel if you consumed a large amount repetitively. the cola will not damage the emanel, but it will stant the emanel causing brown dull smile.
Hypothesis
I predict that the cola will have the biggest effects on the egg shell.
the purpose of this project is to find out which substance will damage the egg shell the quickest. As all you know, cola is not healthy substance for the human body. It is hypothesized that the cola substance will be the one to have the biggest effect in the egg shell. This experiment will test the damage effects of three different by soaking an egg in lemon juice, vinegar and cola. The egg will be submerging several times to test the egg shell. The shell of the eggs will show the effect each substance will make to the egg shell.

controls/variables:
manipulate variable: liquids.
responding variable: the egg shell.
constant variable: the egg, the same amount of days tested.
Results:
The egg that soaked in the cola was stained brown.
The lemon juice started to cause the egg shell to flake apart. There was ,also a noticeable amount of eggshell in the bottom of the bowl.
The egg that soaked in the vinegar had a noticeable decrease in shell. It was also swollen.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion my hypotesis was incorrect. vinager and lemon juice had the high levels of acid. The vinager contains a acid called acetic acid, and the lemon juice contains citric acid. Both liquids had a great effect on the egg shells. The vinager ( acetic acid) completely dissolved the egg shell only leaving the menbrane as protection. the lemon juice (citric acid) did nt dissolved the egg shell, but it caused the shell to crumb away from the menbrane.
The cola a carbonated beverage only stained the egg shell due to its contens of high corn syrup and caramel color.
