- 25 km from the International Airport (Suvarnabhumi) Rembrandt History More than 60 years ago, Mr Shiv Nath Rai Bajaj chose to move from India to Thailand. After several years of successful trading, he decided to enter the world of hospitality business together with his sons. In 1990, the construction of the hotel began with the help of the Rembrandt’s first General Manager, Mr Heinrich Stocker, who contributed great technical and strategic support. Later in 1992, the construction expanded leading to the creation of a 30-story apartment tower, known today as the “Rembrandt Serviced Apartments".
Official Opening in 1993
At the end of July 1993, this date marked the launching of our elegant luxury first class hotel situated in the city centre of Bangkok, Thailand.
The Rang Mahal our award winning rooftop Indian restaurant and Senior Pico for festive South of the Border dining were the hotel’s first dining facilities, followed in 1998 with the Red Pepper our appealing Thai restaurant. In 2003 we added da Vinci for delicious Italian fare at an excellent price.
