What is a car?
A car is any type of device that move people, things from one place to another on self propelled wheels.
Why it created?
Cars were created for quick, easy, and accessible transportation. The muscle car, however was created specifically for street racing. The need for speed.
John DeLorean created less bulky muscle car. He was working for General Motors when he came up with the amazing invention. The first muscle car was the 1964 Pontiac GTO.
The 1966 Ford Mustang was created by workers of the Ford industry. When people think of muscle cars they automatically think of the Mustang. Its name is directly linked to horse power; which is the core of all muscle cars. It's the amount of horse power a car has. 1,000,000 Mustangs were produced and sold within the first 18 months of its introduction.
The first generation of the Doge Challenger was introduced. Its introduction was due to the production of the Mustang and the Camaro; intense competition between the three car manufacturers.
Muscle cars continue to advance due to the competition between the three main manufacturers; Ford, Chevy, and Dodge. As well as the consumer's desire to have more "sporty" frame.
What is a Muscle Car?
A muscle car is a group of American-made 2-door sports coupes with powerful engines designed for high-performance driving
The first car was created in 1769 by Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot, a Frenchman. It was a steam powered vehicle, made for the French army. The first muscle car however, wasn't built until 1949.
The first muscle car was built by several workers at General Motors. The Oldsmobile Rocket 88 was its name. It was also the first official race car.
The first generation of the Camaro was introduced. They were out to compete against the 1966 Mustang.
The Camaro, Mustang, and Dodge Challenger are constantly evolving, improving. They have all lost a lot of their bodies and have become sporty to fit the Americn desires.
Fun Fact: the Dodge Challenger is my favorite!!!!
