TOSHIBA Originally named "Tokyo Shibaura Electric K.K.", is a Japanese multinational electronics manufacturer. Toshiba Corporation By: Tom Huynh Toshiba manufactures equipment such as electronics, electrical equipment, computer systems, and semiconductors. Types of Equipment Shibaura, Minato, Tokyo, Japan Toshiba Headquarters Toshiba was founded by the merging of two companies, Tanaka Seisakusho and Hakunetsusha. Founding Toshiba offers products such as air conditioners, televisions, DVD/Blu-ray players, railway systems, security systems, traffic control systems, etc. Products Toshiba unveiled the Toshiba Regza GL1 21" LED backlit LCD TV glasses-free 3D prototype at CEATEC on October 2010, and the retailed product was released in December 2010. 3D TV In March of 2008, Toshiba tied for first place in Greenpeace's seventh edition of its Guide to Greener Electronics according to their policies on toxic chemicals, recycling, climate change, to which Toshiba received 7.7 points out of ten.
