Transcript of Animal Cruelty

Animal Cruelty Statistics Types of Abuse There are over 10 different forms of animal abuse, including mutilation or torture, beating, shooting, drowning, neglect or abandonment, strangling, and fighting. Around 500 animals die from animal cruelty each day, and hundreds more are lucky enough to survive the abuse. By the end of the year, about 300,000 animals will have died from animal cruelty. Ways you can help: -Be aware of the animals in your neighborhood.
-Learn to recognize the signs.
-Know who to call to report animal cruelty.
-Provide as much information as you can when reporting animal cruelty.
-Set an example for others.
-Teach children to treat animals with respect and kindness. Who abuses animals the most? While people ages 31-40 are the most common abusers of animals, anyone from under 10 years old to over 60 could be an animal abuser.
