Transcript of Probability of equal and unequal events

Probability of Equal Events
Probability of an equal event is when the probability of an event would be an equal chance.
Probability of Unequal events
Probability of an unequal event is when the probability of an event would be an odd or unequal chance.

What is Probability?
Probability is the measure of the likeliness that an event will occur. Probability can be written in a fraction, ratio, or decimal form.
Probability of equal and unequal events
How do you find the probability of an outcome?
To find the probability, you find the number of outcomes that are possible for the terms provided by the total number of outcomes possible
Example
Numerical
Problem:find the probabilty
of getting a roll of 1.
1/6 is the answer because first there are 6 faces or choices on the dice and second the problem only wants us to find the probability of the one item or face of the dice

Numerical
Problem:find the probabilty
of getting a roll of 1,2,3,4,5,6

The answer is 1/6 because there is
6 faces of the dice and because there is only one chance of getting one of them and since there is an even number of faces the problem is an equal event
so ecah face has the same probabilty.

Lesson Plan
E: What is probability? What is an equal event? What is an unequal event?

A: What/why charts will be passed out to work on during group activity.

T:Quiz,Examples,Definitions, What Why Chart,Modal Analysis, Videos, and Seven Stones

S: Take notes, take part of activity, and answer questions to recieve treats!
Tabular
Problem: Find the probability of getting an even number and also the probability of getting an odd number.

Tabular
probability of getting an odd number: 4/7
probability of getting an even number: 3/7
The probability event is an unequal event because the probabilities are not equal.
