RODRIGUES-LA REUNION-ISLE DE FRANCE
In the 19th century ,when the mascarene island was abandoned by the Dutch ,the french took possession of the island island since it became a french colony
The blockade of Ile de France was made by the british .The decision at the Headquarter at Bombay in India .The british East India Company 'battle ship were in Cape Town and Bombay and Madras .By there , they went to Rodrigues first then to Ile Bonaparte so as to block the communication of the Mascarene islands by blocking it around . Thus it was difficult for Ile de France to communicate with the foreign country
The british East India Company had controlled over a large part of India .They decided to surround Mascarene islandS by establishing a blockade. Their battle ship was in Cape Town and Bombay and Madras . From there ,on the 4 august 1809 , they captured Rodrigues first ,to use for attacking other islands. Then they captured Ile Bonaparte (which is now called la reunion) on the 7 to 8 July .After having captured the both island .in the between was Isle de France (Mauritius)which made it easy for them to captured .Then at last they had controlled over isle de france
The british decide to captured the Mascarene islands because their company's ship were being harassed then looted by the french corsairs and pirates which was in Isle de France. they used the island to attack the East India Company 'ship . The french corsairs were making a lot of profit by loooting the goods of the enemies 'ship then sell it with the merchants in the indan ocean who used to passed by

To capture Rodrigues, the decision was taken at the Headquarter of the East India Company which was in India .Henry Keating had to occupy the island of rodrigues . On 5 august 1809 ,they took controlled over Rodrigues .It was easy for them to captured Rodrigues because there was just 3 french families living on the island
After capturing Rodrigues ,they decided to attack Ile Bonaparte (La Reunion) .On 8 July 1810, they landed on Ile Bonaparte (la reunion).The british landed on different part of the island ,the french had to surrender because they had not prepared themselves

After the british had blockage Isle de France by capturing both islands Rodrigues anD Ile Bonaparte (La Reunion). Thus they had more chance to capture Isle de France . They had block the communication of Ile de France with other foreign countries
BATTLE OF 1810
The battle of 1810 was the war between the French and the British .The British wanted to conquered isle de France because the French was using it as a base to attack the passing enemies in the Indian Ocean . The British had already blockade the island. In the war ,the french ship were badly damaged.For both the british and the french , the war was a disaster because they had loss a lot of their soldier in it. In the end the british won the war
