Unified Improvement Plan (UIP)
For the coming school year, academic writing is 1 of the 3 pivotal instructional areas of focus at Kepner. Put another way, all observations from teachers and peers alike (via learning walks, instructional rounds, WDN leadership, etc.) should see evidence of writing on a daily basis. Therefore, everything you are presenting is a SUPPORT for HOW we do this at a high level to best meet the needs of our kids.

Each content area will be able to use the school wide strategies within their own content!
As a teacher leadership team, we have created a year long plan that will coincide with the PLC cycles, to provide teachers and students with common writing strategies to be used school-wide.
Templates and Organizers and Rubrics..............OH MY!
Included within the academic writing cycles is a peer editing focus. This supports LEAP and our school wide focus of collaboration.
The expectation is each week's CFA have a written component. The website has tools and strategies to support the HOW!!!!!!!!!
