Transcript of Zoe's historical events

On May 8, 2004, my brother Zachary was born. I was super excited about having a little brother. Then on September 7, 2008, by sister Lola was born. Both of my siblings were and are still annoying but I love them.
A near-Earth asteroid entered Earth's atmosphere over Russia. The meteor injured over 1000 people, and damaged over 7 200 buildings and homes were damaged. This affects me because it proves that we don't know what's in space and were in danger all the time.
2004 & 2008
On June 26, gay marriage became legal in the U.S. This opened doors for men and women who have wanted to get married with their boyfriend or girlfriend. This affects me because I feel like the U.S is becoming more welcoming to people and their choices.

In 2010, the winter Olympics were held in Vancouver Canada. Then, Alexandre Bildeau won the first ever Olymplic gold medal won by a Canadian in Canada. This affects me because I live in Canada and having a world wide event in my country is special.
December 14, was when a gunman came into Sandy Hook elementary school and killed 20 kids and 6 adults. This affected me because this happened while I was at school, and it made me think that it could've been my school that was in danger
A couple months after my brother was born, we moved from Ottawa to Trenton. I was two, so I don't remember a bunch of what happened, but I do remember staying with my Aunt, Uncle and two cousins until our house was built.
Last year, my family and my cousins Matt and Katie's family decided to take a road trip to North Carolina for a week. I remember this vacation most because of the huge waves in the ocean, and Katie getting knocked over by them.
In 2009, my Auntie Kim was diagnosed with breast cancer. This really scared me because I was really close to her, but she was very strong and kept fighting. She won her battle, so now every year my whole family goes on the breast cancer walk in Kingston
