Facts and Stats
What is Ketamine?
Ketamine is an anesthestic drug intended to be used before surgeries or other procedures to give a lack of feeling or sensation. Nowadays, ketamine is used as a horse tranquilizer and sometimes for reptiles too.
It is abused for its hallucinogenic properties.
Ketamine can be sold as a colorless, odorless liquid or as a white powder.
It has been reported that because of ketamine's anesthetic properties, sexual predators have used ketamine on victims. Ketamine is usually used by adding to beverages or by adding it to smokeable materials. Also ketamine can be injected.

In 2000, 74% of the ketamine emergency department mentions were of people aged 12-25.
In the US, nearly 3% of all high school seniors used ketamine at least once in the past year.
