When used On the Vickers scale Krypton has a hardness of 340. The discovery of Krypton has led up to the creation of many light bulbs, especially florescent lightbulbs which save countless amounts of energy.
We use their glow for "neon" colored signs

There is a chance that your own classroom uses light with Krypton. Where do you "bump into" this element? You have seen at least one florescent light, neon sign, or even a flashlight in your life and there is a high chance it had at least a small amount of Krypton in it.
Krypton is a energy saver for light, just think of anything like it and Krypton may be used for it. What common products and commercial products are made by it? Light bulbs, flashlights, and some radiation uses are some commercial products made by it.
