World Language Standards

Students will be focusing on 3 standards:

Students will be able to describe 3 people in detail using correct sentence structure both orally and in writing.

Continued Practice Game: ¿Quién es?

Students, working in teams of four, will compete to write as many descriptive sentences as they can in a limited period of time about a specific celebrity. They will be encouraged to use online resources to add to the details.Descriptions will be submitted by teams on goggle form listed below for all to review.

with conversation

Option #2
Create a family tree using "prezi.com". Introduce us to two family members.

Flipped Learning

Students will spend time on their own listening to Sr. Jordan
as he highlights how to describe
people using adjectives.

Students will revisit their notes, stored in their own doc folder, as we highlight the important learning.

Day 2
Learning activity - survey
El novio ideal / la novia ideal
Students will engage in a survey where they will respond to questions regarding what they think would be the ideal boyfriend/girlfriend.

Girls go to

Boys will go to
(inser google form - survey)
• As the survey is being tallied students will see the direct results of their responses on line and we will create a class description of the ideal boyfriend, “novio”, and the ideal girlfriend, “novia”, based on the top responses in each category.

Check for understanding - Sentence structure
Students will open a google form and unscramble sentences to make sense of the words, by choosing correct word order.

The beauty of the activity is that they will submit their responses in real time and students will view their responses and be able to compare them with their classmates in an effort to receive immediate feedback.

Independent practice: (insert google doc for more practice)

Assessment to follow
Students will complete a vocabulary quiz, identifying all vocabulary used in the unit. (Vocabulary in context.)

Students will present their extension activity and be graded to a rubric. (oral proficiency)

Using a rubric, students will submit descriptions of three people. (Written proficiency)
