Negative & Positive effects of Social Media on Generation Y
Transcript of Negative & Positive effects of Social Media on Generation Y
Popular Social Sites
Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr are of the top three social networks world wide that can drastically or faintly effect youth in Generation Y.
Becoming more sympathetic towards others
Overall facebook can be a positive tool to build character in a person to turn them into a more confident more social, and less judgemental person.
Facebook can also have a negitive effect on a Generation Y user which can effect his/her social life, character, as well as education.
Freedom of speech
Increase of laziness
Rather than face to face interactions it's over a screen from peer to peer
Limitless amount of creativity to express
The positive and negative effects of all three social networks can greatly alter a user in Generation Y greatly. The only way to control weather social sites become a positive asset or a negative one is to monitor the time consumption of each site. Abusing the social networks and it is more than likely you will fail in areas that more important than staying logged on. Having good moderation over these sites can increase the positivity in a persons character which in turn makes the Generation Y a better generation.
