GO BILLS!!
Community and Service
* 25 hours minimum

* Due dates are October 25, January 23, March 30, and April 28.
*To be able to attend Washington, DC, students will be required to have a minimum of 12 hrs. by January 23.
* IB requirement!
Math Info:
* I will be pulling from MULTIPLE sources this year!
* Compass Learning, Discovery Education, etc.
* Interactive notebooks give students a chance to take ownership of their learning and achievements throughout the year.
* Honors students are not guaranteed to move to honors next year. There will be criteria just as there was last year. All students will need to earn points that include top EOG scores, top MAP scores, top grades in this class, and my recommendation about their overall grades, work ethic and effort.
* That means "Math 7" students who do well can also move UP to honors by the same criteria.

If any of this information changes throughout the year, I will let you know as soon as I am made aware of it!
This year I will be using non-traditional methods for learning. There is NO textbook! We will be using interactive notebooks to help students take ownership of their learning. There will be groupwork, projects, questioning, and discussions.
Daily Supplies...
- Homework!
- PENCIL!
- Colored utensils
- Math notebook
- Graph Paper (during certain units)
- Scientific Calculator (we are not using these YET though...)

** Cell phones are not an acceptable calculator replacement!

have two sons. One is a senior at EMHS in the IB
program and the other is a Freshman at East Meck. Both my sons play baseball (and other sports
as well). We are a very busy family. I am the Social
Studies Department Chair and I work closely with the
community to provide opportunities for community
