No communism two sides not excited for war not World War Part A) mind map Germany lost Germany lost Germany lost ww2 Part b) basic detail Why When Where Who In the Second World War there was a side called the Nazi’s and then the other side was referred as the allies. The Nazi’s consisted of the Germans, the Japanese and the Italians these three countries all moved into a country to start the war the Germans moved into Austria, Czechoslovakia and Poland, the Japanese took over China and the Italians moved into Ethiopia. The other side the allies consisted of Brittan, France and the United States. These countries joined the war to stop the Nazi’s taking over the world. Australia joined this war because of its alliance with Brittan. Australia's role Detailed statistics Controversial issue My opinion The Second World War began because of after the First War World Germany was devastated by the outcome. Germany was made to sign a treaty which forced Germany to B.R.A.T (Blame live with the blame. Reparations had to pay a sum of money. Army reduced. Territories lost) this made Germany a very weak country. Then a man named Adolf Hitler took charge of Germany when they were at this weak stage and Germany being weak needed this sort of leader. Hitler came to power because of his use of promises and great public speaking abilities. Hitler then moved Germany into Poland then invaded the French and that set off the British sparking the war. While this war was being fought the Japanese wanted to take over the Pacific including Australia and U.S.A. This started when Japan bombed Pearl Harbour and sparked a war between Japan and U.S.A. One year later Japan bombed Darwin, Australia and made Australia fight as well. The Second World War was fought all around the world but there were two main wars one was the Germans trying to take over Europe and during this the Japanese thought they should take over the Pacific. These wars were very separate because they were fought on each side of the world. The Second World War began in 1 September 1939 when the Germans invaded Poland and ended in 1945 the European war stopped when the Germans were invaded and in the same year the Pacific war stopped because U.S.A bombed Hiroshima. Australia’s role in the Second World War was established when the British joined the war. Australia had another role when the Japanese bombed Darwin during the war in Germany. The first role was a lot like Australia’s role in the First World War when they went to fight a long way away from Australia. Then the second role was a shock to most of the Australian army because they had never fought in there home land. From over 724 000 enlistments, with almost 400,000 serving outside Australia, there were over 18,000 deaths, 22,000 wounded and over 20,000 prisoners of war, mainly from the early stage of the war with Japan. A Controversial issue in World War Two was when U.S.A dropped an atomic bomb on the city of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. This bomb made an end to the war in the Pacific but at what cost. This bomb killed over 150,000 people from Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This bomb was the first ever atomic bomb dropped in a war and the last. The decision of dropping this bomb was the most controversial of WW2 this is because it had such a devastating effect on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This decision was made after 5 years of fighting and the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I think the decision of dropping an atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Was a wrong decision because there was way too much devastation and destruction when the bomb was dropped. An alternative decision to this one is waiting until the allies win the war in Europe or help them win that war and then take down Japan all of the allies together and this will enforce surrender by the Japanese because of the mass out number of army (not as much death).
