Transcript of Mountains
A mountain is a large land form that stretches above the surrounding land in a limited area, usually in the form of a peak. It is generally steeper than a hill.They are formed through tectonic forces or eruption of a volcano.
There are also mountain ranges all around the world and it is moved by a plate beneath the Earth's crust.
Mountains can range in height from a small hill to 8,848 metres, which is the height of Mount Everest, the most tallest mountain in the world.
Types of Mountains
There are three main types of mountains in the world that are created by a volcano that erupts from the Earth surface.
It causes by the tectonic plates that covers the Earth like a big jigsaw puzzle that travels between the cracks where the lava and the magma oozes through.

On how they look?
Fold mountains are created by an upward pressure where two tectonic plates collide. As the plated converge, layers of rock are buckled and pushed upwards creating into a fold mountain.
Fold mountains can have a mountain ranges too. That are formed when two of the tectonic plates that make up the Earth's crust pushed together at their border.
The extreme pressure forces the edges of the plates upwards into a series of folds.
Fault block mountains form when plates smash against each other. When there is a fault or weak spot, in the earth and one or both are lifted up, mountains can form.
Which are formed when parts of the Earth's crust breaks off into large block mountains. The earth crust's bedrock is broken by faults which then create vertical displacement of continental crust.
The hot lava flows through the vent, cools and hardens.
Volcanic mountains are formed through magma reaching the surface through a slender vent, and erupts explosively through the boiling mad and ash that are hurled into the air.
Four layers of Earth
The four layers of the Earth's crust
are the inner core at the centre inside the earth.
The second part of the earth's crust is the outer core., mainly made up of liquid metals
Location of fold mountains,block mountains and volcanic mountains.
The highest mountain in the world, is where located in Asia, right at the top north south of Tropic Cancer.
The Mount Everest was formed when two plates were collide and one of the plates was forced under the other. Causes tone plate to pushed up into the air and folded. That is why Mount Everest is a fold mountain type.
In Sierra Nevada California, is type of Block mountains, that are formed when the plates smash each other, that the fault and the weak spot both lifted up and form a block mountain.
Mount Fuji is one of the famous tallest perfectly shaped mountain in Japan. The mountain is located to the west of Tokyo on the main Island Honshu, straddling between the border of Yamanashi and Shizuoka prefectures.

Layers of the Earth
Inside of the Earth's crust there are multiples of layers. One of them are mantle, outer core, and inner core.
Some of the layers are considered to parts of the lithosphere and otheres are part of the asthenosphere.
Each layer has its own properties, make-up, and characteristics.
That's is why we have eruptions and other nature disasters like cycone,tsunami and more. But some are not caused by the tectonic plates.
