This Week's Standards
Read to Succeed
You were sent information about the Read to Succeed program last week. If you would like to participate, please remember that reading logs are due by Feb. 24th. Students who read 6 hours and submit the reading log will receive a free 6 Flags Magic Mountain ticket.
Geography Bee
NVVA has a Geography Bee each year. Participating in the Geography Bee is a great experience. Even if you don't feel like you are pro at geography, participating in the geography bee can really help you improve your geography skills, meet new friends, and have a great time! Work Samples
I hope you enjoyed the google document to submit your work samples last week. We will continue this pattern for submitting work samples. You will have the links sent to you on Monday, through k-mail. The work samples are due Friday, by 4:00 pm.
I will still have the classroom open on Fridays at 1:00 for students who would like assistance while completing work samples.
Skating Party!
It's almost time for the annual Elementary Crystal Palace skating Party! Mark your calendars for December 13th from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. The cost is $8.50 and includes skate rental, two pieces of pizza, drink, and four game tokens. Plus, you will have the chance to race your teachers!!

Our next writing workshop will be January 6-10th and we will be writing a book review. During the month of December we will be offering some book clubs.
