Transcript of Global Warming

Use alternative and renewable energies such as solar and wind, rather than fossil fuels. Drive less. Instead of having everyone drive their own car, carpool or better yet walk, bike, or take the bus. Plant trees so they'll absorb the carbon dioxide in the air. Go through daily life without using an excessive amount of fossil fuels. Use what you need. No more, no less. (3)
Global Warming
What steps have been taken towards solving Global Warming?
How widespread is Global Warming?
Global Warming is everywhere even to the unseeing eye. There is pollution all around us from our oceans to our glaciers and even our own land. What we thought might never be an issue could be one of the worst issues of the 21st century, covering our Earths surface with carbon.(source 2)
What are the present consequences of Global Warming?
The consequences of global warming were critical and chaotic. The first consequence was the increase in temperatures and temperature extremes. Since the climate is changing at a rapid rate it led to extreme weather events such as hurricanes, typhoons, blizzards, and droughts. The second consequence is the ice caps melting, which leads into the 3rd consequence by increasing water levels and flooding areas. This consequence also makes the oceans more acidic, which can break down or dissolve the marine organism's shells.(source 2)
What are possible future ramifications?
Noticeable impacts on the environment are created because of the global warming changes. Glaciers have shrunk, plant and animal habitats have shifted, ice on lakes and rivers is breaking up quicker and earlier, and trees are budding and blooming sooner. Scientists had made hypotheses in the past that the result from global climate change will cause deficiency of sea ice, extended and more extreme heat waves, and accelerated sea level rise. Scientists are sure that the global temperatures would continue to increase for the next decades which is caused by greenhouse gasses. The increase of temperatures would affect the whole world and create natural disasters. (source 1)

How successful were the plan?

Everyone in our community should help mother earth and the environment that surrounds them. Great challenges can be conquered and achieved with little actions such as using reusable products, carpooling to reduce carbon dioxide in the air, planting trees and spreading the word about global warming. Everyone can contribute to this problem and save the Earth that we need to survive.

The air is clean
The use of alternative and renewable energies will decrease the amount of fossil fuels used. Ultimately reducing air pollution and our carbon footprint. The air will be cleaner. We'll breath clean air and feel good about ourselves because we made a difference in the world. (4)
