Transcript of How do you imagine social interaction within 10 years, taking into consideration the impact of technology on human relations?

But, do we really know what will happen next?
At my short age, I was born in a world with no mobile phones, no computers, no portable devices, no social media.

The evolution of technology has changed our personal and professional development. Technology has strengthened social relationships and, in less than 30 years, what we thought impossible has overcome our expectations.

In the other hand, I am concern on the fact that people will lose face-to-face communication, will spend more hours socializing on the web than fraternizing, and will forget to live the outdoor life.

How do you imagine social interaction
within 10 years, taking into consideration
the impact of technology on human relations?

The concept of Social Interactions
A social interaction is an exchange
between two or more individuals and is
a building block of society. Social interaction can be studied between
groups of two (dyads), three (triads) or larger social groups

Today, we are have submerged into the virtual interaction dimension. Our human relations are mostly based in tech-communications, best known as "Social Media".
The birth of the social networks such as MySpace, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, Google+, Youtube, Instagram, Pinterest, in between others, have facilitated the communication between people.
However, it has also created dependency on users causing social isolation and "addiction to social media" when used in excess.

Mobile Phones
In 1973, Motorola company was the first to produce a hand held mobile phone. But it wasn't until the 1990s that the "Second Generation" emerged and became popular in the market.

Portable Computers
In 1975: The IBM 5100 becomes the first commercially available portable computer.
In 1976: Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak start Apple Computers and roll out the Apple I, the first computer with a single-circuit board.
1977: The Apple II was launched. It offered color graphics and incorporated a mouse, keyboard and an audio cassette drive for storage.

It was developed in the 1960s.

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Commercial Internet service providers began to emerge.

Since the mid-1990s the internet has had a tremendous impact as people can get instant communication by email, instant messaging, VOIP "phone calls", 2-way interactive video calls, forums, social network and more.
I started here
As the future overcomes, technology will keep penetrating multitudinous aspects in people's life.

It is clear that social interaction will still be related to technology as many other internet based applications are constantly being created.

Thank you
The concept of "Social interaction" has changed drastically in the past decade due to the invention of new technologies.
Technology has changed, and we have changed with it. Since the creation of the television, radio, telephone, to the revolution of mobile phones, portable computers, Internet, and other portable devices in the last years.
