OCD has an impact on a persons mental simulations. It causes a person to be more focus on there phobias than school or work.
OCD can occur by stress, genetics, traumatic life event (ex. death in family), and depression.
Coping Strategies:
Understand OCD
Try to control yourself (Don't let it stop you from doing things you like.)
Don't be ashamed of OCD (Your not the only one living with it.).

Physical Impact
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) impacts one’s physical self as it increases stress, causes poor nutrition and can lead to a lack of sleep which may lead to the victim becoming physically ill. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) may also cause the victim to become skinny and appear to be unhealthy due to poor nutrition. In order to achieve a more physical approach towards being able to cope with this situation, you can see a psychologist or therapist in order to get proper medication to relieve your symptoms. The victim can also learn to control their symptoms as some of the compulsive behaviors can be controlled by themselves, and if it is difficult for them to control those behaviors, they could seek help from a doctor.

OCD can affect core beliefs and values in a way that it becomes very difficult to survive in human society. Following notions can come into the mind, like all men are not trust worthy, or I must never make mistakes, that people will hate me. OCD can cause you to have many fears. This causes the person to become isolated towards others and the environment since they have to take more care of themselves. The issue impacts a persons ability to distinguish between right and wrong since they do whatever they can to comfort themselves.

What is OCD?
Anxiety is a normal behavior. It helps to prepare for an occasion, like going to a party, job interview, exams, etc. OCD is seen in 2% of the worlds population. There are 2 parts to OCD. The first part is obsession, which are the sudden thoughts that bother you. The next part is compulsion which forces you to behave under the influence of obsessions. Examples of compulsions are praying, repeating phrases. OCD will cause you to be feel irritated until something is not done the way you want it to be or you might have an extreme phobia of something.
Emotional Impact
The person can reach at a very difficult emotional stage in his/her life. If OCD is not treated at early stage, the person can enter into a stage where his/her social behavior are abnormal and out of control. Only human will power can bring them out of the OCD circle. Modern medicine can help to come out of OCD, but it plays only one third the role.
Different Types of OCD
Washers:
are afraid of germs.
Checkers:
repeatedly check if anything that can harm them is turned off (ex.ovens, doors are locked)
Doubters or Sinners:
are afraid if they do something wrong they will be punished.
Arrangers:
obsessed with everything being put up right and are straight.
Hoarders:
are afraid that if they throw away something then something bad will happen to them.
